Poland Here We Come!
Had my last shave this morning before the big race next Saturday and Sunday. (Yes that's right the race spreads across 2 days or half of each.) Kind of reminds me of my thoughts in the final few minutes that we're about to face the executioner. Emil Zatopek said before his first marathon, "Men today we die a little".
Next Saturday and Sunday we die a lot.

Good quote from Zatopek there. My old racewalking coach Stan Jones raced against Zatopek in the 1948 London Olympics Marathon I think...I remember in training walks him telling me some stories about how the crowds surrounding the streets were all chanting "ZAT-OPEK" "ZAT-O-PEK" etc...All the best in Polski. Its an awesome achievement just to make the team again, and you have excellenet experience now, this is an opportunity of a lifetime to give glory to the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and fly the Australian flag. Hope you enjoy the adventure, and have a really good race. Well done! Congratulations!
